I’ve wanted to visit Urban Projuice for ages. After being taunted by their alluring Insta photos, and reading some positive reviews, my sights were set on the health-focused cafe.
Brunching on a weekday, I arrived to the cafe in awe – located in the most gorgeous old townhouse, it fitted in flawlessly with the affluent suburb of Albert Park.
Even for a weekday morning, the cafe was pumping (given its suburban location, I’d imagine this place would be super popular on weekends).
Snickers bowl – a blend of caco powder, natural peanut butter, banana, almond milk & dates, topped with seasonal fruits, nuts, seeds and superfoods $16 (I added protein powder $2)
Presentation was impeccable, and the quality of the ingredients was high, but sadly, this bowl left something to be desired. The flavours worked well together, but I would have preferred more of a punch (flavour wise) to the bowl. I found it too watery for my liking.
The staff were fantastic – warm, welcoming, and very attentive. And the interior of the cafe is utterly charming – tastefully decorated, and the characteristics of the old townhouse gives the venue a very refined feel.
Despite my rating of the snickers bowl, there’s a lot to like about Urban Projuice. Fantastic location, great staff, and plenty of nutritious menu options (not to mention the gorgeous townhouse itself).
Until next time, keep smiling.
