Serotonin Eatery

It’s an absolute crime that its taken me so long to get to the infamous ‘happiness cafe’ in Burnley. Serotonin Eatery is an establishment focusing on foods that nourish the body, and make you smile.

Given the name of my blog, how could I not visit?!

Conveniently located next to Burnley Station, the cafe’s interior is a sight to behold. Swinging chairs, and substantial lounging booths (in addition to regular chairs and tables), its a perfect place for a catchup with loved ones, or like me, dining solo (I love my own company – a Scorpio thing no doubt haha).

Positive pancakes! Banana flour pancakes served with a blueberry & raspberry coulis, coconut yoghurt, toasted sliced almonds, topped with house made banana ‘nice-cream’ (with added peanut butter).

Oh my gosh, what a phenomenal dish! These pancakes were absolutely DIVINE – fluffy, flavoursome, and extremely succulent – everything you want from a pancake. The combination of coconut yoghurt, with the crunchy almonds, in addition to the berry coulis was utterly mouthwatering. Adding the peanut butter unequivocally elevated the dish to astronomical heights. Indeed, one of the best breakfasts I’ve had in a very long time.

The staff were fabulous – especially my waiter. Friendly, approachable, and extremely helpful explaining the menu. Great work guys!

Serotonin Eatery well and truly exceeded my high expectations – and then some. I seriously can’t fault this place. Food, service, location all top notch – without question, one of the top brunching places in Melbourne.

Until next time, keep smiling 🙂
